Preparation and Planning
- During an initial consultation, we will determine a timetable for your move. Whether the time frame is short or long-range, we can tailor our services to fit your needs!
- Space planning in your new home: Measurements are taken of the new space and a floor plan will be prepared to decide which pieces of furniture to use
- Sorting and decision-making
- We can help you decide what to keep, sell or donate, distributing items per your requests
- Arrange charity pickups
- Saleable items transported
- Shipping to family members
- Hold an Estate sale
- Make arrangements for the moving van: Several professional moving companies will be brought in to provide estimates for the safe transportation of your belongings
- Utility changes, forward mail, etc.
- Act as contact person for family members
Packing and Home Closure
- We will provide all boxes and supplies
- Going Green! We re-use moving boxes to save costs
- We pack all items to be moved
- The same staff members that pack your belongings will unpack them in your new home
- Label and inventory boxes
- Photograph cabinets and decor to aid in recreating the decor in your new home
- We photograph curio cabinets, kitchen and bathroom cabinets so you can easily locate your things
- Prepare home for sale or rent
- Arrange for professional cleaning
- Contact contractors for repairs
- Assist with staging and coordination with realtor
Moving Day
- Supervise movers as they load and unload
- Guide them for furniture placement
- Unpack and resettle belongings–kitchen, bathroom, closets, etc.
- Recreate your previous home as closely as possible
- Remove boxes and packing materials
- Arrange furniture
- Make the beds
- Hang pictures, draperies, small shelves and hooks, etc.
- Connect telephone, TV and other electronics
After the Move
